Norseman Outfitters is owned and operated by Arnie and Ronda Kjerstad since 1992.  Their “Down Home” approach and commitment to making sure that their clients have the “hunt of their life” has endeared them to many repeat customers over the years.

They are located in North-central Saskatchewan and offer some of the best white-tailed deer, black bear and waterfowl hunting in the world. Their exclusive hunting area for bear and deer is over 50,000 acres of northern boreal forest and forest fringe.

White-tailed Deer

Saskatchewan is world renowned for it’s trophy whitetails and Norseman Outfitters is smack in the middle of it. With over 50,000 acres of hunting area, this remote wilderness allows these deer to reach their trophy potential. Over the years many trophy deer have been taken at Norseman ranging from the 150’s and well into the 190’s. Imagine the excitement to hunt an area that has the potential to produce a real trophy. Every rustle of a branch or swish in the snow might be the deer of your dreams! 

Hunts are typically 6 days long, however longer hunts can be arranged and all meals and accommodations are provided. Hunts are conducted from stands over bait. These are long days in the stand and plenty of warm clothing is a must as very cold conditions can prevail.

Black Bear

Saskatchewan is also known for it’s trophy bruins. Big black bears are common in the woods that Norseman Outfitters hunts. Your chances are excellent to take a trophy black bear and there is also a good chance to take a color phase bear ( brown, cinnamon or blonde). With relatively low hunting pressure, these bears have the chance to get to be monsters! 

Hunts are six days and extra days can be arranged. Hunts are from elevated stands over bait and many times you will have a tough time keeping track of all the bears coming and going to the bait.

Accommodations are provided in comfortable cabins that are equipped with kitchenettes.

Waterfowl

A little south of the deer and bear hunting, into the vast gently rolling farmland, miles and miles of wheat, barley and pea fields greet hundreds of thousands of waterfowl as they arrive from the north on their journey south. Large Canada geese, lesser, snows and mallards feed in large concentrations in local fields. Experience the rush of Canada geese, cupped wings dropping into the decoys or the wild action of a pothole mallard hunt with hundreds of bird wanting into your decoys.
